Noted events in his life were:
1. Birth / Death, 1940-2001, Alberta, Canada. 6489 Each Foot Left It's Mark (published in 1982) records that Dennis was the son of Einar J Broen, that his birth was 22 Sep 1940 (page 412) and that he was married to Judy Cartier. There is a tombstone at Scandia Lutheran Church Cemetery for Dennis E A Broen born in 1940 and died in 2001, but it is uncertain if this is the same person. The year of death is also recorded on Rootsweb Obituary Times, with the name Dennis Einar Albert Broen from Hay Lakes. There also is a note with the same information on an index, http://www.albertagenealogy-research.ca/ (this is a fee based service and an obituary from the Edmonton Journal, 2001).
However, the tombstone at Scandia Cemetery has his wife as Virginia M. A. (no maiden name recorded). The uncertainity is that either Dennis was divorced and remarried or the name Lucy (Cartier) is a nickname for the person inscribed on the tombstone as Virginia. Further research is needed.
Dennis married Lucy Cartier.
