Summary:
Bersvend Olsen was likely the first person to settle on what is now known as the Sondmor farm [Norwegian spelling, Søndmør]. He started to clear land around 1740

Bersvend was born at Bernrommet, Norway - this is in Tydal parish, Sør-Trøndelag [abt 110 kms east Trondheim]
- and, Bersvend began clearing land on what is now known as the Sondmor Farm around 1740. It is on Holoyen Southern, near Oversjodalen in the Tolga parish.

Ole Bersvendsen received a deed on the place at Orvøyen in 1719. In a deed is from 1791 and it is stated that the magistrate "veledle Johan Christian Schuit" on 24 February 1719 gave a deed on the place Orvøyen to the builder/settler Ole Bersvendsen on the following stretch: "To Orvkjernet on the southern edge and from there to Sagfossen on the eastern edge and to the northern end of Gråvold Iige to Flobakken as well as the southern side of the nearby stream.
Ole Bersvendsen's origins and who he was married to are not known, but he has a son Bersvend who clears land at Søndmør (originally Søndre Holøyen) in the 1740s. It looks as if Orvøya and the elder Søndmør have belonged together until Bersvend Olsen's eldest son Iver Bersvendsen took over Orvøya.

Noted events in his life were:
1. Death - disproven 1747 or 1754, Between 1747 and 1754, Tolga, Hedmark, Norway. 6421 There does not appear to be a burial or death record for Bersvend Olsen in the Tolga Ministerialbok (1733-1767). The geni.com website includes at 2 family data bases (one managed by Rune Meli and the other by 'private user'). Rune Meli links to the "private user' that records his death in 1747. However, both databases do not include any source citiation.
The Tolga bygdebok committee review [ http://www.tolgaslekt.no/ ] records Bersvend death as 1748.
The Tolga parish register for this time frame is very difficult to read and I am not able to make it out.
Bersvend married Ingeborg Iversdatter 6395.,6419 (Ingeborg Iversdatter was born in 1699 in Røros, Sør Trondelag, Norway 6419 and died in 1797 in Tolga, Hedmark, Norway 6419.)
