  Noted events in his life were:

1. Birth, abt 1660, Abt 1660, Sweden. ⁵⁹²⁶ There is no agreement on the place of birth. Some researchers indicate Finland; however if the family had been in Sweden for around 30 years when they came to Örträst around 1678, then the family would have been in Sweden by 1648, but possibly earlier. A court record of 1764 notes that Erik Samuelsson (a grandson of Johan Philipsson Hilduinen and the son of Samuel Johansson) "swore on oath" that his father and silblings were born in Falun, Darlna (then a part of Kopperbergs län).

2. Death/Burial, 1721, 1721, Lycksele, Västerbotten, Sweden. Farm/locality: Präsbordet

Erik married Margareta Mårtensdotter in Sweden.⁵⁹²¹ (Margareta Mårtensdotter was born about 1650 ⁵⁹²¹ and died about 1735 in Lycksele, Västerbotten, Sweden ⁵⁹²¹.)
