.. apparently there was a house fire at their home in Badger Twp, Polk Co, MN .. this was in mid-winter shortly after the birth of their second daughter, Syrine - Syrine died of exposure [findagrave id 126595919 comment indicates that she died in 1902, likely early in the years of 1902]
.. Kari Nilsdtr Rosten/Rusten, went to stay with her mother, Sigrid Marie ... [Jake Langsjoen isn't clear on this, he says she went home] ...
and that she died at the "Jordet homestead", referring to her parents farm at St Olaf Twp
