- records that Oscar Emmanuel was b in Svea, Kittson co, MN; And that his father was Olaf Lindgren
(Ås Olof Olsson in Sweden), b 3 Sept 1861, Myrholen - this would be in Gagnef parish, Kopparberg län; but I didn't find a birth record for that date
- also records a daughter of Olof Lindgren, Anna married to Oscar Grue

Bella's birth location in 1891: should be Stoney Brook Twp, Grant Co [east of Wendell]
- Thore and Berit were on the farm in 1891. It wasn't until 1892 that the farm was sold and the family moved to the town of Hereford, just a few miles away from farm (Oscar Grue's book).
- I have reviewed birth records on Ancestry (MN births), and the Norwegian Church records for Trinity Lutheran (Wendell) but the births records do start in 1905. I also checked United Lutheran in Elbow Lake and Bethlehem Lutheran in Fergus Falls - no record [19 Jun 2022]
- some Family Trees record Bella's given name as Isabella, which may or may not be correct

- alpha listing starts with image 145; members start image 162-182 with "page 20" last; it appears that some images are missing - for example, the alpha listing as the Arthur Flynn family for "page 24", but the last page is "20"

*** but image 405: ownership of homestead, on SW 33-40-6-4 on file dated 24 Aug 1909, and image 403 notes that he had "forfeited or abandoned"

Oscar Emmanuel Lindgren and Bella Grue [ pdf pages 6-11 ]

- Oscar was the second oldest in his family; born in Svea, MN
- Oscar and Bella were married on 24 Aug 1912 at Freidham Lutheran Church (east of Armena)
- they moved to Oscar's homestead in Czar
- 4 boys and 1 girl was born;
- But after "much illness" Bella died in Camrose on 20 Dec 1925; she was buried at Czar Lutheran Church Cemetery, next to her son, Lenart [Leonart] (1916-29 Jan 1917); note - findagrave photo, it is hard to tell if the birth year is 1915 or 1916; recorded as 1915

- Oscar Lindgren on 24 Feb 1928 married to Lena Loss - 4 boys and 2 daughters
- in Oct 1940 - moved to BC - Haney, BC [ Maple Ridge area ] and worked for the Haney Brick and Tile Co until he retired; died 2 Oct 1969


-- photo of burial ? maybe, but why the union jack?; she died in late Dec, so you would think there would be snow
