- lists 4 children of Morten Knutsen, born 1630 - Knut, born 1670 (but there is a question mark beside Knut); Berger, born 1672; Kirsten, born 1675; Peder, born 1679.

NOTE: this souce indicates, that Morten Knutson traveled to the farm Gaarden and it is seen that in 1695 he had became a cottager there. [ can't find anything on the farm Gaarden; 6 Jan 2013 BUT see below point 5.b ]

2. Land registers - Matrikkel

a. Oluf Rygh -- Norwegian Farm Names

- In the late 19th century a new and complete land registry was compiled in Norway. A central member of the land register commission was the Norwegian philologist and archaeologist Oluf Rygh. On the basis of his work in the commission, Rygh started to publish a complete catalogue over the names of the main Norwegian farms (45 000 in 1886), along with possible information on the origin of the farm name.

It is now called Unsetaaen and probably also originally had its own name. Jacob Breda Bull, 1916 History of Rendalen

- page 39, 40 (image 560, 2nd side, 561) of Chapter: Gaardene [ 25 Oct 2014 ]

appears to be writing about the farm Undset, and then this farm divided ????

- under farm Sørgard Undset; Rogsveen: Per Rogsveen (bruker ½ Hud 1645); Knut Mortensen (bruker ½ Hud 1664, g. m. Berger Jonsen Sørgards Datter Aasta)
- then "Sæter paa Undset" [summer pastures on Undset] for Rugsveen (Klettsæteren og Rødsjødalen) and for Øvre Rogsveen (Klettsæteren)

Conflict:
Jacob Bull reports that in 1664 that Rogsveen (maybe Rugsveen nedre) was farmed by Knut Mortensen and Aasta Bergersdtr (Sørgard) and a brother to 'our' Simen Mortensen BUT this Knut Mortensen wasn't born until 1670 according to the geni.com website family data???? If this is the case, Knut Mortensen's father should be named Morten ...
