1. Bygebok for Os, page 218

- Tore, born about 1660, [went] to Solem in Støren; [ Solem is likely the name of the farm, but it also could be the name of a district or sub-parish ]; Støren is a parish clerical district in the county of Sør Trongelag ;

NOTE: Støren is the name of the clerical district in the 1600-1900 hundreds and then into the mid 1960's, but had sub-parishes of Horg, Budal, Soknedal; in 1964 these and Singsås [separated from Holtådalen in 1841] was formed into a new municipality of Midtre Gaudal; see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St%C3%B8ren; [ Note: it seems that originally there were the clerical districts and sometime in the mid 1900's the clerical districts began administrative centers similiar to our municipalities ]

NOTE: some researchers have used Midtre Gaudal as the place name

2. General - google

- with a general google search of "Tore Estensen Breen", brings up a www.geni.com tree , managed by Johannes Rye Røste and Rolf Inge Holden [ I have used his database as sources for others - Jon Simensen Hulbækdal ] and others --- however the dates do not always correspond; also connected to this a database on MyHeritage Family Tree by "site manager", Karl Edvin Fjell (he has a database / public member tree on ancestry 'Eltedalens familier og tilhørende / Inngifte' BUT Fjell's data has little information on either Tore Estensen Breen (born 1748-died 1711) or Tore Estensen Breen (born 1660-died 1725), only names and dates, but with no source citations.

- NOTE: a number of researchers have recorded a wrong birth date for this "Tore Estensen Breen" who was born in 1660 and died 1725; they have used birth date of 1648 of the other Tore Estensen Breen who was born in 1648 and died 1711 and who is the father of our Gjertrud Toresdatter Breen married to Jon Simensen Grue

- this tree appears to be a bit more complete, BUT no source citations and only a few place names for birth or death

-- there are some other Public Member Trees - they also do not record source citations and most has this Tore Estensen Breen's birth as 1648

- family connection through Tore Estensen Solem's son's (Esten Toresen Solem, 1684-1762) descendant Marith Henriksdatter Aunebakken (1831-1877) married to Ole Evensen Sommervold who emigrated to North America in 1867 settling in Hendricks Twp, Linclon Co, MN [ 400-500 kms east of Minneapolis ]http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mnlincol/)
- mistakenly uses Tore Estensen Solem's birth as 1648 when it should be 1660
