Os in Østerdalene by Thoralf Grue ..... birth and death dates of Sigrid Jonsdatter ... and he notes that Sigrid was the person taxed on the farm in 1688 - this would fit since Ole Estensen Berg died around 1685 or at least sometime in the 1680s

Esten Evensen, married to Sigrid Jonsdatter, widow of Ole Estensen (Ole Østensen) Berg who died in the 1680s.
Esten Evensen is listed as a servant in the tenant tax for 1674 [it is not clear if this tax was on Bortistue Berg or some other place] and was discharged as a soldier in 1676. In 1691 he represents one half of Berg. He is a witness in a case about fishing in Tufsinga in 1704 where he is stated to be 60 years old.
In 1704 Esten Evensen draws up a deed of gift to his stepsons on what he owns. Only the eldest, Erik Olsen, who will have the farm after his stepfather's death, is mentioned by name. During the Swedish stay in 1718 and 1719 Esten suffers losses and asks for tax exemption.
Esten Evensen and Sigrid Jonsdatter have no children.
Sigrid married Ola Estensen Berg, son of Esten Eriksen Berg and Unknown. (Ola Estensen Berg was born in 1639 in Berg, Tolga, Hedmark, Norway 938 and died in 1685 in Berg, Tolga, Hedmark, Norway 938.)
Sigrid next married Esten Evensen 1680s in Tolga, Hedmark, Norway. (Esten Evensen was born about 1644 in Tolga, Hedmark, Norway and died after 1719 in Tolga, Hedmark, Norway.)
