Mrs. Marylyn B. Helseth, 86, died Aug. 9, 2003.
She was born in Rolla, N.C., and was a resident of Fort Pierce since 1984, coming from Baton Rouge, La.
Prior to retirement, she was a secretary for an oil distribution company.
Mrs. Helseth was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and was the founder of the chapter at Louisiana State University and the St. Lucie Historical Society.
Survivors include her son, David G. Helseth of Florida; brother Robert Butterwick of Berwyn, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Helseth was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Helseth; and son John S. Helseth.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH, 44720.
SERVICES: A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Viking Cemetery, Fort Pierce.

Arrangements are by Yates Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
