- Ole Iver Berg (1832-1914), his family and descendants in America. Ole Iver was born not far from my home in Os, Norway. He fathered a son (Johan) here in 1857 before he emigrated to the United States. His son happened to become my great grandfather's half brother, that is the immediate reason for my interest in Ole Iver's life after his emigration to the United States.

- I mentioned Emil Berg's son in Norway [???] . In the census of 1865 he is named Johan Ole Iversen, and probably later adopted Gjelten (his mother Marit got married to Bakosgjelten farm in Os).
