Jon served in the king's bodyguards, Stockholm. He came home sick and died unmarried [ Jon tjente ved kongens livgarde, Stockholm. Han kom syk hjem, og døde ugift ]
3. death - Conclusion: death as 7 Mar 1843 at Os, Tolga.
This is a probable conclusion although not completely convincing since there is no collabrating evidence that this is the son of Ragnild Jonsdtr Grue

- the Ministerialbok (1836-1852, page 188, line 11) also lists his death as 7 Mar 1843, but then there is a line through the entry; BUT of note is age 33, and residence as Haugen Breen
