1. Ingvill Simensdtr Grue's father was Simen Johnsen Grue, born 1766; Simen Johnsen Grue's father was John Simensen Grue, born 1729 and his mother was Sigrid Estensdtr Grue, born 1734.

Gives names, dates of ancestors/siblings of Simen Olsen Østerås

- sister Anne married to John Johannessen Grue; brother Peder (translation indicates that Peder travelled out of the area and implies that nothing further is known about him)
- mother is Ingvill Simensdtr Grue, daughter of Simen Johnsen Grue, born 1766
- father Ole Johannesen Ås was previously married, they had a son (Johannes) who travel to America, became a citizen, and was killed in the war (US Civil War) in 1864 - "Han reiste til Amerika, ble med in den amerikanske borgerkrigen og falt in 1864"
- father Ole Johannesen Ås was a cabinet maker/carpenter/joiner (snekker)

3. 1865 Norway Census has Ole Johannesen Ås living on the farm Østre Aas with Anne Olsdt (age 19), Simen Olsen (age 16) and Anne Klausdtr receiving/living from the retirement agreement (Føderaadskone) and as "den førstes moder" - the first mother (not clear if this is his mother or the mother of whomever he bought the farm from)

- Ingvill Simensdtr Grue died 1865 - assumption is that she died prior to the 1865 Norway Census taking
