- graduate of University of Minnesota Medical School; practiced until 1958 in Lamberton, MN [Redwood Co, about 150 kms south west of Minneapolis; then a psychiatric fellowship at Pilgrim State Hospital in New York [actually at Brentwood, Suffolk Co]
- survived by mother; 2 sisters, Mrs Thomas J Marron of St Paul and Mrs Hebert W Brunzell of Minneapolis; and brother, Vincent N Roan of Costa Mesa, CA [Orange Co - Los Angeles area]

- no mention of his wife who died or baby boy who died

2. The Minneapolis Star 1 Dec 1959

- Morton and wife where living at the Maryland Hotel, an apartment type of hotel (1436 La Salle, Ave) [for 4 months; previously at Lamerton, MN for 10 years; 1949-1959]
- a fire started in their bedroom, in the mattress; she was on the floor; he was in the bathroom.
- patients at St Barnabas hospital, both in fair condition
- BUT she died 10 days later
