4. Family Group sheets and write up prepared Sep 1980 [ mom and I put this together - see her 2 inch brown binder ]


- this records that Olaf was buried in Rulbo in an unused cemetery that appeared to be inactive [Jul 1980]. There is a photo that dad had taken and mom and I are at an old tombstone/grave that is mostly a 'pile of rocks'. I am knelling and it looks like I am recording something. But my notes/diary of that time [23 & 23 Jul 1980] notes this is the cemetery where Erik Andersson and Kjerstin Jönsdotter are buried. Erik Andersson's grave is not marked, but his wife's is - Kerstin Andersson, 6 Sep 1852 - 4 Feb 1922. Kerstin Andersson's grave marker appears to be wooden cross with name and dates carved into the wood (see photo, Norway-Sweden scanned) This is the same cemetery where Olaf Skåret (and persumably, Anna Kristina Månsdotter) were buried. Mom's notes (see her 2 inch brown binder) records that "...we found Olaf Skaaret's grave .... and also the graves of Grandma Skaret's parents, Erik and Krisitn (Jonson) Anderson." Since they weren't marked, the actual graves must have been assumed.

In the Family Group sheets that were prepared in Sep 1980, I have recorded Olaf's death as 1946 (some of the other family trees say his death was in 1948.

9. Death and Burial, 1946, 16 Mar 1946, Rullbo, Los, Gävleborg län, Sweden. ^2647,2648 Olaf Skåret is buried at the Old Rullbo Cemetery, near Rullbo, Los, Gävleborg län. Many of the graves in this cemetery are not marked. A few pictures of the cemetery was photographed by myself (Rueben D Grue) on 23 Jul 1980. My dad also had taken a couple of pictures. My notes in my 'diary' at that time, simply notes that Olaf is buried here. The Family Group Sheets (Skaret's) that I had prepared in Sept 1980 record his death as 1946. Unfortunately, I did not record the source for this information, but it likely was from Sigrid Grambo (Skåret), Olaf's daughter.

Some other family trees on Ancestry.com (Bornesätre Släktträd) record his death as 1948. The geni.com family data (Webjørn Grambo) does not include a date of death for Olof Skåret. However, using the SCB extracts on ArkivDigital (SCB extracts are based on transcriptions sent by each parish to the Bureau of Central Statistics, his death is recorded for 16 Mar 1946. Based on the SCB extracts and my family groups sheets (from 1980), his year of death is 1946.

Olaf married Anna Kristina Månsdotter, daughter of Måns Jonsson and Anna Andersdotter, on 20 Jan 1889 in Los, Gävleborg, Sweden.²⁶⁴⁶ (Anna Kristina Månsdotter was born on 13 Mar 1870 in Los, Gävleborg, Sweden ^2646,2660 and died on 8 Jul 1944 in Los, Gävleborg län, Sweden ^2649,2661.)
