* Note: I have looked on the pages in the 1906 Canada census [Prairie Provinces] for the sec 32-42-14-W4th [Olaf's homestead land] but Olaf and family are NOT recorded, even though he had built a house in May 1906. Even though the enumeration date for the census was 24 Jun 1906.

.... " In 1906, Mrs Olaf Nordvie passed away impressing more deeply the need for a a church and cemetery. Land was kindly donated by N K Lund and a cemetery and church grounds were stacked out. Mrs Olaf Nordvie was the first person to be buried there. Thus, in 1907, they organized a congregation led by Pastor Frojen [from the Lake DeMay area just east Camrose - Past Frojen also had served Scandia at Armena] ... church completed in 1915.

.. 2nd column. Olaf Nordvie came to the district in 1905 from Fargo, ND. He, his wife and family, Annie, Oscar, Hulda, Harold, and Engwold, lived in a sod shack until they built the house that also became a post office [Olaf Nordvie, post office from 15 Oct 1913 to 12 Feb 1924 .... photo of Olaf's house, page 86, image 98]
