Axel Hjalmar Jönsson

  Research Notes:

Summary I am reasonably assured that I have found some accurate information on Axel in the US, as I have indicated below. However, the 1940 US census records that he is a "widow''. I have not found any marriage record, so this might be a mistake. Also I haven't found him in the 1900 or 1910 US census in MN - there are a few peopled name Axel Johnson, but the age or date of emigration doesn't fit. I also have not found him or his brother in the 1900 US census in North Dakota.

Note: both are recorded at the above address, Minneapolis city Directories,

1939 - Axel , image 334; address, 1513 S 3rd *** only him, thus Tillie died between 1938-1939

Axel married Thilda in Mar 1935 in Minneapolis, Hennepin Co, Minnesota, United States. (Thilda was born about 1880 in Sweden and died between 1938 and 1939 in Minneapolis, Hennepin Co, Minnesota, United States.)
