- appears to be fairly complete

- Gustav was born 16 Sep 1859 Älvsborg County in Sweden, farm Algutstorp. [A county of Sweden until 1997, when it was merged with the counties of Gothenburg and Bohus and Skaraborg to form Västra Götaland County]
- his parents first went to the Knapp area of Cokato Twp, Wright Co [see image 148, North Crow River Lutheran ...] but Gustav, and maybe others of the family, left that area around 1880, but there is no indication where he went ... Vega Twp in Marshall Co is almost 500 kms north of Knapp in Wright Co ... he may have gone there ... the 1885 MN State Census (enumeration as of 1 May 1895) only records a person's age and birth location. There are a number of people with the name Gustav Anderson recorded - none in Wright Co or Marshall Co that would be candidates (or Meeker Co)... there is one person recorded in Moorehead, Clay Co that might be possible (age 26 born in Sweden) but there is no way to be certain.

There is one entry, Gust D Anderson, on Sec 18, a bit north of Alvarado, Marshall Co. Patent was issued 26 Mar 1891, homestead entry
- using the US Track Books [family search - see my document, currently in "zz folder" - 11 Dec 2021]

name: Gust D Anderson, initial receipt of $10, on 17 May 1888 with final payment on 8 Aug 1889

Gustav married Tilda Hanson, daughter of Hans Hendricksson and Marit Svensdotter, about 1890 in Minnesota, United States. (Tilda Hanson was born on 12 May 1869 in Östmark, Värmland län, Sweden,⁹⁴⁶³ died on 17 Nov 1959 in Marshall Co, Minnesota, United States and was buried in Elim Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Oak Park Twp, Marshall Co, Minnesota, United States.)
