- using findagrave [Rikka Josephine Jacobson Backstrom findagrave id, 189023214], links to Rikka's parents and siblings. It looks like Rikka's father, Anders Jacobson, died in 1875 in WI [Rikka] would have been abt 9 years old]. Her mother, Anna Olofsdotter Olstad Jacobson died in 1885 at Grafton, ND. Her oldest son was Jacob A Jacobson - it is likely that he, his mother, and younger siblings had likely moved to North Dakota shortly after the death of the father. At Grafton, Jacob A Jacobson married John Backstrom's sister Katherine.

BUT, Katerine's findagrave, 82973364 [note: Ross/Runquist .... FT incorrectly records her birth as 10 Aug 1859]

BUT there is no further information. There is a girl with the family in the 1911 Canada Census, but
the spelling seems to be "Lenora" b Sep 1906 in AB, and is recorded as a daughter. She isn't recorded
withe Jacob in the 1916 census; there also is not a record of a burial at Lake View Cemetery in Stettler
with Jacob and Katherine are buried. Is it possible she was either a "foster" child or someone staying
with the family in 1911 and enumerated mistakely wrote daughter. ????
