linking at El Camino Cemetery for wife Audrey, there is a posted OBIT: She was laid to rest on Monday, June 19, at El Camino Memorial Park in San Diego. Survivors include her husband, Charles "Mac" McClees of San Diego; four sons, Dwight (Maria) McClees of Lakeside, Calif., Michael McClees and Charles McClees, both of San Diego, and Richard (Marilyn) McClees of Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Margaret (Glenn) Webb of La Mesa, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include two sisters, Mildred Spuhler [Ancestry FT ?] and Dorothy Foster, both of Lexington; a brother, Eldon Way of Bishop Falls, Newfoundland; and a sister-in-law, Gloria Way of Lexington.
From there, she went to Washington, D.C., where she worked for the Department of Agriculture. While in Washington, D.C., she met her husband, Charles "Mac" McClees, who was serving in the U.S. Navy at the time. Audrey and Mac were married May 8, 1944, in Washington, D.C., and enjoyed 62 years together.
