MOMS....... married 1942 Carlton Co - just to the south of Duluth
BUT: MOMS... also has a record for a marriage: Irene Anderson on 2 Nov 1927 to George R Scott, Koochiching Co [cert, E 381] - this corresponds to a record from Bethany Lurtheran Church, Loman, image 42 and 44 - records her mother and siblings records her name as, "Irene Anderson Scott", International Falls - no record of marriage at Loman or First Lutheran Bethel at International Falls (see link from sister, Florence Lillian)
** I cannot prove if this is the person named George Robert Scott, but - WW 2 draft living in International Falls and wife Mary as contact findagrave, id 143324714, born 25 Mar 1906, Stearns Co, MN; died 22 Oct 1990, Koochiching buried at Forsest Hill Cemetery; married 1935; linked to wife, Mary Kachrouski, b 1909 in Canada;, died 1982, Koochiching. And it looks likely they had at least 1 son, Frank P Scott, b 2 Aug 1930 in International Falls. died 1976 at Missoula, MT (obit posted on newspapers.com, issue 17 May 1976, p 7) and with parents Mr and Mrs George R Scott; [NO MN birth record: is it possible that George R went across the river, met up with Mary, then the birth Fort Frances, ON; but then the family moved to International Falls around 1935? - George is recorded in 1920 US Census as a son age 13 [b abt 1906] at Cross River Twp, Koochiching Co [twp 67N, range 25W; someplace between Littlefork and Loman]; and then at International Falls in 1940 US Census, but only George and Mary [not Frank ???] [same place in 1935]; he works as a labor in timber; she was born in Canada
1940 Census, Duluth, St Louis Co; ED; 88-52A, sheet 10B; line 62 Irene Anderson, age 32, b in MN single; same place in 1935; tax clerk, County Tax assessment
1930 US Census, International Falls, Koochiching Co; ED 21; sheet 12 B; line 75 Irene Anderson, age 22, is a 'roomer', and martial status is "divorced"; works as a saleslady in a confectionary store
OBIT; posted on Findagrave, id 179656458; died 9 Aug 2002, Duluth, St Louis Co, MN - died at St Luke's Hospital Hospice - born 4 Feb 1905 to Wiliam and Caroline (Johnson) at Cokato - a resident of Duluth since 1932; had worked in a law office - tax and title research - served in WW 2 with Women's Army Aux Corp - preceded by her parents, her sisters, Lillian Tollefsrud, Sadie Deneen, Mildren[d] Kuusisto; brothers, Alvin, Vernon, and George; husband Samuel J Larson [he died 5 Jun 1985] - survivors are nieces/nephews - names recorded, as well as location.
OBIT: Samuel J Larson, Arizona Republic (Phoenix), issue 7 Jun 1985, p 90 - died 5 June 1985 at age 77 - moved to Arizona 12 yrs ago [1973] from MN where he was born - survived by wife Irene, daughter Rita Bagley ....
- Samuel Larson was first married to Loiz Arlee Little [1908-1975] - they were married 1928; findagrave records one son, David Larson (1928-1979) - and findagrave, notes that his first wife, remarried to Charles Graham Bradford. In the 1940 US Census, Grand Lake, St Louis Co, ED 69-64 : Charles G Bradford, age 47, wife Loiz A, age 32, David A Larson age 11 and Rita G Larson age 9 [1931], recorded as son and daughter and lived at the same house in Apr 1935. And then, in the 1930 Census, Duluth (ED 80), Lois Larson [Loiz] is living with her parents [William and Ruby Little) and her son, David Larson [grandson to head of household], age 1 yr and 5 months [1928]. This record records Lois[z] as married. But where is Samuel Larson ??? - there is a record [1930 US Census, Duluth 74, sheet 5A] that he is with his parents [Nels and Gerda Larson] ?? and Samuel Larson is recorded as single [so probably he and Lois were separated but not divorced at the time of the census and one of the enumerators didn't know how to classify
There are a number of family trees on Ancestry by searching for Samuel J Larson and note his 2 marriages but most only record his son and not his daughter - Brown/Kelley FT - Klaiber FT
Irene married George R Scott.
Irene next married Samuel James Larson on 27 Jun 1942 in Carlton Co, Minnesota, United States. (Samuel James Larson was born on 13 Sep 1907 in Duluth, St Louis Co, Minnesota, United States and died on 5 Jun 1985 in Maricopa Co, Arizona, United States.)
