Marilyn I. Itkonen, 84, of Hibbing, passed away Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at Fairview University Medical Center-Mesabi in Hibbing.
She was born on Sept. 15, 1926, in Watrous Township, Minn., in Koochiching County, to Robert and Florence (Anderson) Christie and grew up there. She attended school in International Falls, Minn.
Marilyn married Sulo Itkonen, and they had resided in Hibbing since 1946. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by four sons: Michael Itkonen, Dale Itkonen, Ronald (Vicky) Itkonen and Bruce Itkonen; one daughter, Ramona Berklich; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother and one sister.

Marilyn married Sulo Kalle Itkonen on 28 Feb 1946 in Koochiching Co, Minnesota, United States.
