Memorial service for James K. Rae, 31, is planned for 4 p.m. Monday at Spokane Civic Theatre. Born in Spokane, Mr. Rae died April 25, 1996 in Seattle.
He graduated in 1983 from Rogers High School, where he was active in a barbershop quartet, Shivesen jazz choir, symphonic choir and drama club. He was on the annual staff, was Key Club treasurer, senior class treasurer, and sophomore and junior associated student body representative.
For several years he performed in plays at the Civic Theatre and had performed in Pirates of Penzance with Gonzaga University. Mr. Rae attended Minneapolis Children's Theatre and graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City.
He moved to Seattle in 1989 and worked for the King County Library Systems.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce Rae of Spokane; his father, William Rae Jr. of Spokane; one brother, William Rae III, and one sister, Bonnie Wood, both of Spokane.
