Alver Leander Person

  Research Notes:

Mom and Alver often joked about being cousins, but I always thought it was because Alver's parents and mom's parents were both from Vilhelmina parish in Sweden. After reviewing Arlene's obit, I decided to check out Alver's ancestors a bit - see below. Based on what I reviewed yesterday, there doesn't appear to be any relationship - however, I only reviewed one line of Alver's ancestors, and so I suppose there might still be a possibility. - a couple of Family Trees - geni.com, and genväger.nu
looks like as early as 1450 at Yettersel and Nästra parishes in Västernorrland län and from there eventually by mid-1750 to Åsele parish in Västerbotten and then into Vilhelmina
- it would be a lot of research to follow the migration; BUT doesn't look like a relation from Pehr Hansson, 1796-1828

Per Hansson married to Inga Albertina Sjulsdotter, b 15 Apr 1787 at Umbyn Sorsele parish and died 1801 at Rönnäs

- records that" Inga Albertina grows up as a foster child with Erik Jonsson, Volmsjö, Fredrika [Fredrika is about 125 kms south east of Vilhelmina; likely would require a lot of research to find out her parents;
- BUT, geni.com FT, Alexander Lindquist in Mar 2015: records her parents as Sjul Olofsson (Sikman), 1751-1788 at Umbyn, either Lycksele or maybe Sorsele; and this records that Sjul and his wife were killed and so the children or at least Inga was raised by Sjul's brother, Lars Olofsson at Umbyn - it is not clear, but it seems that ancestors of Sjul may have been Sami or what was called Laps

Alver married Arlene Carol Skaret, daughter of William (Bill) Edwin Skaret and Margaret Heiner, on 3 Apr 1959 in Armena, Alberta, Canada.²⁶⁰⁰ (Arlene Carol Skaret was born on 15 Mar 1934 in Armena, Alberta, Canada and died on 8 Sep 2020 in Camrose, Alberta, Canada ⁸²⁰⁹.)
