- joined the Marines in 1940, served in WW 2, and retiring in 1960 after 20 yrs
- married 29 Mar 1946 to Iona Voss in Yuma, AZ
- in 1960 moved to Winchester WI; he worked at the Post Office for 20 years, retiring in 1980
- survived by wife Iona of Larsen; one son Gary (Janet) Anderson of Larsen
- survived by a sister, Angeline (Raymond Johnson) of New London, and brother Alerd (Germaine) Anderson of Larsen
