Summary:

Andrew Evensen Wold [1861-1953] is my 2nd cousin 4 times removed. His father was Even Olsen [1817-1907] and his grandfather was Ole Evensen [Søndmør or Sønmør], the younger, 1782-1872. Ole Evensen the younger originally grew up on the farm Søndmør in the southern part of Tolga Parish in Hedmark Co, Norway. Later Ole Evensen took over the farm a bit further north of Søndmør. This farm was known as Kåsa or Kaasen, but sometimes refered to as Heggkaasen.

In Sept 1881, Anders left Tolga parish for North America. He first went to Otter Tail Co, Minnesota. Sometime in 1887, Andrew moved to Polk Co, MN. He was married in Sept 1887 to Anne Marie Jacobson, aka as Marie Toten. Andrew and Marie farmed in Brandsvold Twp, Polk Co, and continued to live on the farm until sometime after Apr 1935 when they moved to California to live with with their daughter Selma and her husband.

Andrew and Marie had 9 children with the youngest likely dying at birth. Andrew's nephew, Einar L Wold, came to live them at at 7.

Andrew died in 1953 and Marie died in 1947. Both died in California.
Note: I have not researched Andrew's children or their descendants.

They record a person named Anders/Andrew Wold born in 1861 in Os-Tolga, but with a middle initial "M" and record this person's death in 1934 in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha, South Dakota [see South Dakota Death Index, linked on the Werner FT by Susanne Werner - https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/24567259/person/26901624526/facts. This of course, means that the person recorded as wife and the persons recorded as his children are also WRONG.
