Eva Julianna Andersdotter

  Research Notes:

Summary: Eva Juliana Andersdotter Lindberg was my 1st cousin, twice removed. Her father was Anders Andersson Lindberg (1841-1913) and this Anders' father was also known as Anders Andersson [1814-1886]. Anders (b 1814) was a brother to my great grandmother Sara Katarina Andersdotter (1842-1936). Sara was married to my grandfather Per Erik Löfgren (1835-1918).

Thus my grandfather, Jonas Lofgren (b 1875) and Eva were 1st cousins. Both were born at the farm/village of Siksjonäs.

Eva married Nils Amandus Erickson and in 1893 they left Vilhelmina parish, and within a short time, they settled in Spruce Twp, Roseau County. It doesn't appear the Nils obtained a homestead, so he likely bought some land in the area. The 1900 US census notes that they were living on a farm that they owned and that it was free of mortgage. Unfortunately the census records do not record that quarter or section of land. It appears that he sold this land at some point. He also had purchased 120 acres on Sec 5 of Spruce Twp in 1915.

Records show that Eva and Nils had 8 children but by 1910, only 3 children were living. Many of the children's birth
records are not recorded, and so I am missing the births/deaths of at least 2 babbies.

By 1950, both Nils and Eva had left the farmed and moved to Roseau town. Nils died in 1953; Eva died in 1951.

I haven't found a lot of information on their children or any other descendants. More research would need to be done.
