Lenore Hedeen, 101, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at the Northfield Care Center.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Northfield Retirement Center Chapel with the Rev. John E. Quam officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Northfield. Visitation was held at the Retirement Center Chapel Friday.
Lenore Carrie Hedeen was born Aug. 23, 1903, in Dalton, to Peder and Gertrude (Jordet) Langsjoen. She graduated from Dalton High School and attended Northwestern College in Fergus Falls where she pursued a modeling career. She worked for the Singer Sewing Machine Company during the day and part time as a model for the Kiewel Dress Shop at night. She married Leonard Germundson and they owned and operated the Gambles Store in Northfield. Hedeen was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church
Survivors include her son Jerry Germundson of Northfield; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were with Benson & Langehough Funeral Home of Northfield.
