- survived by 1 daughter, Catherine C at home in Appleton; 3 sons, Philmore, Robert and Harold [Glen Harold], all of Appleton; 3 brothers, Rev Jacob P Langsjoen of Sacramento, CA, Swen and George of rural Dalton MN; 2 sisters, Mrs L O (Lenore) Germundson of Northfield MN and Liv of Dalton, MN

** Gilbert's obit does not mention a daughter, but Serena's obit does; the census data does not include a daughter. If Catherine was born after 1940, Serena would have been over age 54. So, does this mean that Catherine was born prior to Serena's marriage in 1916 and if so, who was the father? There is no record of someone by the name of Catherine or Katherine with mother maiden name of Langsjoen (1905-1916) in Otter Tail Co or any county on MN Birth Index; nor is there a record on MN marriages of Serena or Catherine Langsjoen.
