Modified Descendant
Addie Eliz Anson, 1879-1937 1st married: 4 Nov 1896 in Pelps Co, Missouri Irving Hunt, 1876-1954. children: 1.] Ruth Adelaine Hunt, 1896-1926, m. Christian Prestlien, -1926 2.] Vera Irene Hunt, 1900 m. Nelson Lyons 3.] Clifford Hunt, 1901-1975 m. Helen Fricke, 1903-1987
2nd married: 28 Dec 1916, Hughenden, AB, Michael Prestlien 4.] Mildred, 1916- 5.] Norman, 1917-1941
Note: Based on the AB Homestead records, IA delayed births [re dau Vera], and the 1916 Canada Census, and the local history book for Amisk-Hughenden, I have concluded the following:
Addie, along with her husband Irving Hunt and their three children were living in Three Forks, MT in the early spring of 1913. By 6 Apr 1913, the family had left Montana for their homestead just east of Whitecourt, Alberta. It appears that sometime in the fall of 1915, Irving had left Whitecourt to go to work on the railroad (possibly at Winnipeg, as usually did). Either around that time or later, Addie went to her parents in Buchanan Co in Iowa - it is not clear if the children had also travelled with her. It appears that by 20 Mar 1916, Addie had filed or had obtained a divorce from Irving Hunt.
By 1 June 1916, Addie was back in Whitecourt since she and her 2 younger children are living with her daugther Ruth and husband, Christian Prestlien (according the the 1916 Canada Census of the prairie provinces). On the same 1916 census page, Irving Hunt is recorded by himself. Looking at the record for daughter, Vera, it is likely Addie and possibly Irving and the rest of the family went back to Iowa where they agreed on a divorce, with a likely date of 20 Mar 1916. Separately or together they travelled back to Whitecourt where all are recorded at Whitecourt as of 1 Jun 1916.
On 26 Dec 1916, Addie marries Michael Prestlien (a brother to her daughter's husband Christian Prestlien) at Hughenden, Alberta. According tho the local history book for Amisk-Hughenden, Michael and Addie farmed near Michael's other brother's farm (Simon Prestlien). It is not clear if Addie's daugther Vera or son Clifford also lived at the farm with her. Around 1929 Micheal and Addie and their two children, Mildred and Norman, had returned to the homestead at Whitecourt. In 1937 Addie died. It is not clear if she died in Whitecourt or at a hospital in Edmonton. In 1939, Michael moved to Edmonton and in 1947 he died in Edmonton.
