- Peder [1857-1945] first went to North America at age 24 (about 1881) to his aunt's, Oline (Ole and Oline Sorgaarden) in Holmes City Twp, Douglas Co, MN
- Peder had traveled to ND
- about 1887, Peder traveled back to Trysil, Norway
- in 1888, Peder (newly married) emigrated to the US, and settled in Argusville, ND
- in 1900, Peder sold his farm in Argusville and returned to Norway, but returned again to ND in 1901
- in 1904, Peder and family emigrated to the Northern Lights District (Domremy) in SK (30-40 kms south of Prince Albert)
