Andrew M Halseth family .... page 277,278 [image 281] with a photo of Andrew, p. 277, and his first home built in 1909 - the submission written by Edna Halseth, wife of Andrew's son, Morton - under the general section, "Loyalist", a railroad stop about 10 kms west of Consort
- records his birth - came to Alberta in 1908 looking for homestead ... then went back to the US and on 3 Feb 1909 he married Ida Chester and they then traveled to homestead [Wiste, AB area] - 2 children - Morton Owen and Agnes Irene - 1913, Mrs Halseth died ... the 2 children were taken to their grandmother and went to school. Agnes continued to with grandmother [in Wiconsin]... Morton returned to AB and lived with his father ... she married - Andrew became ill in Feb 1958 and died at Edmonton in Mar 1958 - his son continued with the farm, and then when Morten died, then his grandson Martin took over the farm [as of 1977]

Castor is about 85 kms west of Consort with the land is just west of hwy 886, so that must have been the nearest post office?
