was living in Cando, ND .... John H Olson and wife, Gea Persdatter Narjord [mother Ingrid Mikkelsdatter Bakken] and family were living on the farm, just to the west of the town of Cando

AND

according to the record of emigration [arriving passengers at New York, 7 Jul 1900] for Robert Mortensen Halseth, b 1882, Robert's designation was Cando, ND to his cousin, Mathias Helseth.
.. it is likely that Gea Persdatter Narjord's half sister, Johanna Marie, had come to Gea's home and the summer of 1901 and it is here that she met her future husband, Robert Mortensen Halseth


3. note: that Mathias/Matthew A Halseth and family moved prior to the 1910 US census enumeration to Berwick, McHenry Co, ND - this is about 85 kms east of Minot, ND ¹⁰¹⁵⁰
